Turn Your Culinary Passion Into a Thriving Business: Free 6-Week Programme Launches in Hyndburn
If you spend your weekends baking show-stopping cakes, crafting perfect family recipes, or dreaming of launching your own local catering side hustle, this one is for you.
Hyndburn Borough Council has just teamed up with Kind Communities to launch an exciting, fully funded 6-week programme designed specifically to empower local women to take their culinary skills and turn them into sustainable, legal, and profitable businesses.
Whether you want a flexible weekend hustle or a full-time enterprise, this initiative is all about providing the right support, in the right way—even if you have absolutely zero previous business experience.

What You’ll Learn Over the 6 Weeks
The programme is practical and tailored to the UK market, breaking down the essential steps to launching safely and successfully:
Catering Regulations & Food Safety: Getting your paperwork and hygiene standards right from day one.
Smart Pricing Strategies: How to price your food so you actually make a healthy profit.
Legal Requirements: Setting up your business structure without the stress.
The Co-operative Model: A unique opportunity to collaborate and form a supportive business network with fellow local foodies upon completion.
Kick It Off With Free Coffee & Cake!
To introduce the course in a relaxed, friendly environment, there is a “Lady Boss” Coffee Morning happening next week. It’s a completely free event where you can meet like-minded people, chat with the organizers, and hear from other local women who have successfully completed the programme.
